About the author
Elske Sri Utami de Vries was born in Indonesia and grew up in the rural northern part of the Netherlands. After completing her Masters in Languages and Cultures of Southeast Asia at Leiden University, she left for Bangkok to learn Thai. There she fell in love with Thailand and adopted it as her second home.
She has worked for a travel company in Thailand and Indonesia and is a seasoned tour leader in the Southeast Asia region. However, she prefers to be on the road herself with her camera and laptop to get inspiration for another book.
